“…In wind turbines based on back-to-back converters, using the crowbar circuit is the most popular and reliable scheme to relieve the problems of overcurrent in rotor side converter (RSC) and overvoltage at DC-link during a severe voltage dip [3]. In DFIG-based wind turbines, the crowbar is usually installed at the rotor terminals, and prevents damage to the rotor side converter [4,5].
