Nowadays, information represents an important resource for any organization and to ensure its management, it is important to set up an information system. The latter being essential in various fields, it can bring improvements in the care of patients and in the quality of health services. However, the use of information and communication technologies on the quality of health services was exclusive in developed countries. It is with this in mind that we have focused our study on the proposal of architecture to make hospital intelligent based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Blockchain. To do this, we used three databases namely Scopus, Web of Science and PubMed. First, we collected references to open-source Hospital Information Systems (OS HIS) and we were able to extract thirteen popular projects of which seven are active and 6 are not. Then, we continued our study with the seven active projects. Second, we collected references to IoT architectures for healthcare and after extensive reading we opted for a three-layer architecture (perception layer, network layer and application layer). Third, we collected references to lightweight blockchains and after in-depth reading of the documents found, we selected the Hyperledger foundation which was created to ensure the promotion of blockchain through an open-source ecosystem. As a result, we were able to come up with a three-layer architecture which is on the concepts of IoT and Blockchain. The proposed work is promising and can be used as a reference for the deployment of a hospital information system in an environment with limited resources.

The future of networking will be driven by the current emerging trends of combining the physical and virtual realities in cyberspace. Considering the ambient pandemic challenges, the role of virtual and augmented reality will definitely grow over time by transforming into the paradigm of the Metaverse of Things, where each person, thing or other entity will simultaneously exist within multiple synchronized realities. In this paper, we propose a novel framework for future metaverse applications composed of multiple synchronized data flows from multiple operators through multiple wearable devices and with different quality requirements. A new service quality model is proposed based on a customizable utility function for each individual data flow. The proposed approach is based on dynamic fine-grained data flow allocation and service selection using non-fungible tokens, which can be traded over the blockchain among users and operators in a decentralized mobile network environment.

The blockchain nexus with energy transactions in the distributed energy-trading arena successfully achieved a decentralized transaction and increased security. With the elimination of a third-party middle man, an electronic app is introduced to achieve decentralization and aid transactive communications. Observing the internet-of-things (IoT) intense protocols in the transactive communications amongst blockchain participants, however, leads to transaction time delay with associated uncertainty. This paper integrates the practical byzantine fault tolerance (pBFT) algorithm with the private Hyperledger Sawtooth blockchain network (P) to achieve a P-pBFT algorithm. The P-pBFT achieved a combined two-step transaction latency optimization (minimization) amongst the blockchain participants in the distributed energy generation (DEG) ecosystem. Through their combined feature extraction, further minimization is achieved by simulating the resulting transaction model derived from the integration. Subsequently, an optimization method is proposed to achieve the shortest transaction time given transaction constraints based on participants' comfort. Thus, the ratio of node population to the transaction size and the choice of constraints can be regulated at the participants' convenience to achieve minimum transaction time. Hence, the benefit of deciding the transaction time is achieved thereby eliminating the undesired characteristic uncertainty.INDEX TERMS Blockchain transaction, blockchain transaction time optimization, blockchain transaction time simulation, distributed energy system, practical byzantine fault tolerance.
