Abstract: The four factors, applanating force, applanated area, intraocular pressure and displaced intraocular volume were measured simultaneously and independently in enucleated human eyes. The experiments were carried out at constant intraocular pressure. The relationship between applanating force, intraocular pressure and applanated area was in good agreement with a straight line, but the applanated area was smaller than expected on the basis of the ImbertFick law.
