“…In this study, continuous treatment with the extract for a period of two weeks caused significant decrease in the blood glucose level of treated rats compared to untreated diabetic rats. The finding of this study corroborates the report of 16 on Musa sapientum Kuntze (Banana) which significantly showed anti hyperglycaemic action and an antioxidant effect. Banana flower was more effective than glibenclamide.…”
