AN-132 is thought to be classified as belonging to class 1 antiarrhyth mic agents (Sakai et al 1987; Sato et al, unpublished observations) whose mechanism of action lies primarily in Na channel blockade (Vaughan Williams 1984 Nevertheless, cautions should be paid as when disopyramide is used. Disopyr amide characterized to be about 2 times more negative inotropic than suppressant on Vmax of action potentials by Honerjager et al (1986) had been shown to produce a reduction of cardiac output in patients admitted in the coronary or respiratory care unit (Boland et al 1976).…”
