“…15 Boussault and colleagues 50 explained this condition as a kind of immune response against a tumor antigen. In 2 of these cases the treatment of the malignancy was followed by the regression of the EAGCG, 49,50 and in 1 of the cases there was a relapse of the granuloma when the leukemia recurred. 49 The coexistence of elastolytic granuloma and leukemia infiltration in the same skin lesions or development in preexisting lymphomatous lesions has been documented.…”

“…[23] A particularly interesting case report described a patient in whom AEGCG lesions heralded the onset and recurrence of acute myelogenous leukemia. [24] Therefore, the clinically similar AEGCG lesions should also prompt an appropriate investigation for underlying malignancy.…”

“…Kawakami et al 14 described a 70-year-old man with a 3-month history of "GA-like" lesions on his arms; on further workup, he was found to have underlying adult T-cell leukemia. Another report described a 57-year-old man with a 9-month history of a pruritic eruption that was found to be annular elastolytic giant cell granuloma 13 ; further workup revealed underlying AML. Hinckley et al 6 reported 2 cases in which GA was the presenting feature of chronic myelomonocytic leukemia.…”
