Analysis of the Influence of the Vortex Shedder Shape on the Metrological Properties of the Vortex Flow Meter

Abstract: Vortex flow meters are used to measure the flow of gases and liquids. The flow meters of this type measure the frequency of vortices that arise behind an obstacle set in the path of the flowing fluid. The frequency is a function of the speed of the flowing fluid. This obstacle is called the vortex shedder bar. The advantage of this solution is that the frequency of vortices does not viscose on the rheological properties of the fluid, such as viscosity or density. As a result, the indications of the vortex flow… Show more

“…It should be noted that the method quality indicator for the LSTM classifier was the RMSE. Impedance tomography is a potential field of science for identifying inclusions inside industrial reactors, containers, and pipes [52,53]. The presented research findings substantiate the preceding assertion due to the complexity of the model transferring the measurement data into the output image and the requirement to solve the incorrectly stated inverse problem, developing an effective and universal technique.…”

“…For example, the calorimetric flow meters use the physical effects that amount of flows are capable of absorbing different amounts of heat from a heat source on a measuring tip [2,3]. In the vortex flow meters, piezoelectric or capacitancetype sensors are implemented to detect pressure oscillation due to vortices of fluids around a bluff body [4]. The resulting frequency is an indication of the flow rate level.…”
