Analysis of the complex natural frequency spectrum of the azimuthally periodic coaxial cavity
Abstract: The results of a theoretical analysis of the effect of geometrical parameters on the complex natural frequency spectrum of the azimuthally periodic coaxial cavity with a corrugated outer conductor are presented. Possibilities of increasing the Q‐factor and suppressing the competing modes are studied. The importance of geometrical parameters is discussed from the point of view of designing the cavity as an oscillatory system for vacuum electron tubes. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
