Abstract: The human calf muscle was examined by using the magnetization transfer MR imaging technique. The time-dependent saturation transfer (TDST) method was applied at low magnetic field 0.1 T in order to measure the mobile water relaxation time T1w, the magnetization transfer rate Rwm from water to solid macromolecules, and the magnetization transfer contrast (MTC) of the human tissue.
