Since 2015, sustainable development has become the leading goal of all development at the global level. Human development is a crucial aspect of sustainable development planning and strategies. This study analyzes the impact of public policies on the Human Development Index (HDI) in 34 Indonesian provinces from 2015-2020. The study examines budget allocations for education, health, general allocation funds, population, and employment factors. This study employs panel data regression models for different province groups, including all provinces, non-expansion provinces, and expansion provinces. The results indicate that the education budget and population have a positive effect on HDI, while the health budget does not affect HDI in any of the models. However, the general allocation of funds and labor force participation rate have different effects in different models. Therefore, it is suggested that education policies have had more impact than health policies on improving human capital in Indonesia.

The study focused on analyzing the secondary metabolites present in the ethanol extract of Sonchus arvensis L. leaves (SALEE) and their impact on creatinine and urea levels when administered in suspension form at different doses. Phytochemical screening of SALEE identified alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, saponins, and tannins. In the experiment, twenty-five white male rats were divided into five groups: a healthy control group (Group I), a negative control group (Group II), and three test groups (Groups III, IV, and V) receiving SALEE at doses of 200, 300, and 400 mg/kg BW, respectively. After inducing diabetes with streptozotocin and a 21-day follow-up period, creatinine and urea levels were assessed. The results demonstrated that SALEE administration significantly reduced creatinine levels and increased urea levels. Notably, the 200 mg/kg BW dose of SALEE exhibited a consistent and long-term effect. It was observed that blood urea levels fluctuated even in healthy and negative control groups during the 21-day observation period. In the group receiving the highest dose of SALEE (400 mg/kg BW), blood urea levels increased significantly on days 14 and 21, indicating a potential increase in the rats' appetite rather than renal function failure. Overall, the findings suggest that SALEE has promising potential to regulate creatinine and urea levels in the blood of individuals with diabetes, highlighting its potential for therapeutic and supplemental use.

Tempuyung (Sonchus arvensis L.) is a plant from the Asteraceae family which is often used as a diuretic, kidney stones, gallstones, swelling, asthma, cholesterol lowering, bronchitis and in previous studies showed its effectiveness as an antihyperuricemic drug. Its potential use as a raw material for drugs needs to be supported by safety tests. This study was conducted to determine the acute toxicity of ethanol extract of tempuyung leaves in terms of clinical symptoms, body weight, organ index, macropathological changes, LD50 description and classification of acute toxicity of ethanol extract of tempuyung leaves (Sonchus arvensis L.) in female mice (Mus musculus). Acute toxicity test was performed orally using the fixed dose method and each group consisted of 5 female mice. The doses used were 5 mg/kg BW, 50 mg/kg BW, 300 mg/kg BW, 2000 mg/kg BW, and continued to the limit test of 5000 mg/kg BW. The result of this study is that in the preliminary test, it was found that there were symptoms of toxicity in the form of clinical symptoms ranging from doses of 5 mg/kg BW to 2000 mg/kg BW although there were no deaths in experimental animals. In the main test, a limit test of 5000 mg/kg BW was added where 80% of the mice died after 24 hours. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the ethanol extract of tempuyung (Sonchus arvensis L.) leaves had an LD50 range > 2000 mg/kg BW with a classification of slightly toxic to female mice (Mus musculus) test animals. .
