An Objective Multi-Criteria Approach to Optimization Using Moora Method and Interval Grey Numbers

Abstract: Many real-world problems are complex and/or related to the manifestation of some form of uncertainty and/or prediction. Therefore the use of extended MCDM methods is more appropriate than the use of the other classic decision making methods. These methods are improved by the use of a form of fuzzy or interval grey numbers. In the field of operational research, during the previous period, numerous MCDM methods were formed, but one newly proposed, the MOORA method, is very specific and yet has no extensi… Show more

“…Stanujkic et al (2012b) proposed a simple to use grey extension of the Ratio system part of the MOORA method. In Stanujkic et al (2012a) the grey extensions of both approaches of the MOORA method, Ratio system and Reference point approaches, were discussed in details. In this paper significant attention was given to the transformation of grey into the crisp numbers.…”

“…In current era, the usage of crisp numbers in classical MCDM method were extended for usage with interval grey number [40].The review was done to identify the extension of MOORA with other MCDM approaches. The survey leads to extending MOORA with interval grey numbers, MOORA with simultaneous use of crisp and interval grey number and MOORA with interval grey number and whitening coefficient.…”

“…During the second part of twenty century, MCDM method proves to be an emerging area in operational research for identifying the optimal options that impacts multiple of conflicting criteria's [31].The MCDM ameliorate on effective decision making to choose an optimal solution from the available feasible alternative that involves impact of multiple often conflicting criteria [40]. The MCDM method was broadly classified into multi attribute decision making (MADM) and multi objective decision making (MODM) approach as shown in figure 1 [31] [43].…”
