Design/methodology/approach -A conceptual framework was developed through extending the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) by incorporating two additional factors namely; perceived credibility (PC) and task-technology fit (TTF). A quantitative approach based on cross-sectional survey was used to collect data from 408 IB consumers. Data were analysed using structural equation modelling based on AMOS 20.0. Findings -The results of the structural path revealed that performance expectancy (PE), social influence, PC and TTF to be significant predictors in influencing customers' behavioural intention (BI) to use IB and explained 61 per cent of its variance, with PE was found the strongest antecedent of BI. Contrary to the UTAUT, the effect of effort expectancy on BI was insignificant. In addition, both BI and facilitating conditions were found to affect the actual usage behaviour and explained 64 per cent of its variance Practical implications -This study would be helpful for bank managers and policy makers to explain the currently relatively low penetration rate of IB in formulating strategies to encourage the adoption and acceptance of IB by Lebanese customers, where IB is still considered an innovation. Originality/value -This study is the first research that extend the UTAUT by incorporating two additional factors namely; PC and TTF to study the IB in the Lebanese context. This study contributes to the research on computer technology usage by looking at IB adoption and incorporation into the lives of customers via the BI to use and actual usage of IB in Lebanon.

I expand and integrate a theory of mobility (Automobility) with one of science and technology (Actor Network Theory) and one about social acceptance and user adoption (UTAUT).I apply this integrative framework to the diffusion (and non-diffusion) of electric vehicles and the process of electric mobility. I begin by presenting my methods, namely semi-structured qualitative research interviews with social theorists. Then, I present the three theories deemed most relevant by respondents. Automobility holds that, on a cultural or social level, automobiles exist as part of a complex, one that involves hardware and infrastructure-a hybridity between drivers and machines-along with patterns of identity and attitudes about driving pleasure. Actor Network Theory (ANT) involves the concepts of network assemblage, translation, enrollment, and actants and lieutenants. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, or UTAUT, states that on an individual level, the adoption of new technologies will be predicated on interconnected factors such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and other facilitating conditions.Based largely on the original interview data supplemented with peer-reviewed studies, I propose a conceptual framework of user acceptance consisting of motile pleasure, sociality, sociotechnical commensurability, and habitual momentum. I conclude with implications for research and policy.

Öz: Bu çalışmada bilişim teknolojileri (BT) öğretmen adaylarının çevrimiçi sosyal ağları (ÇSA) öğretim amaçlı kabul ve kullanım süreçlerine ilişkin bir ölçek geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen ölçeğin kuramsal çerçevesini teknoloji kabul modellerinden "Teknoloji Kabul ve Kullanım Birleştirilmiş Model"i oluşturmuştur. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi (AFA) için 302, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi (DFA) için 210 olmak üzere üç farklı devlet üniversitesinin Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Eğitimi (BÖTE) bölümü öğrencilerinden veri toplanmıştır. Analizler sonucunda 36 maddeden oluşan dört faktörlü bir yapı ortaya konmuştur. ÇSA'ları öğretim amaçlı olarak kabul ve kullanım durumlarının performans beklentisi, çaba beklentisi, sosyal etki ve kullanma niyetlerinden etkilendiği sonucuna ulaşılmış; bu dört faktör toplam varyansın %67,02'sini açıklamış, yüksek bir iç tutarlılık katsayısı sergilemiştir (α=.97). Dört faktörlü bu yapıya ilişkin DFA sonucunda da kabul edilebilir uyum değerlerine ulaşılmıştır (RMSEA= 0.075; SRMR=0.080; NNFI= .094; CFI= .094; α=.93). Ölçekten alınan yüksek puan, BT öğretmen adaylarının ÇSA'ları öğretim amaçlı kabul durumlarının ve mesleki yaşamlarında kullanma eğilimlerinin yüksek olduğuna işaret etmektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Bilişim teknolojileri, çevrimiçi sosyal ağlar, yeniliklerin kabulü, teknoloji kabul ve kullanım birleştirilmiş modeli DOI: 10.16949/turkbilmat.298120 Abstract:The current study aimed to develop a scale to address the acceptance and use of online social networking sites (SNSs) for instructional purposes among information technology teachers. The theoretical framework of the scale was based on The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Data were collected from computer education departments of three state universities to conduct an exploratory factor analysis (n: 302) followed by a confirmatory factor analysis (n: 210). Analyses revealed a four-factor structure which sheltered 36 items. It was observed that acceptance and use of SNSs for instructional purposes were composed of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and behavioral intention, which explained 67.02 percent of the total variance with a high internal consistency coefficient (α=.97). The confirmatory analysis on the four-factor structure revealed acceptable fit indices as well (RMSEA= 0.075; SRMR=0.080; NNFI= .094; CFI= .094; α=.93).
