Suicide mortality in Finnish Lapland by small areas, with reference to temporal trends

Further insight is provided by a reindeer herders' health survey conducted in the 1980s which noted a high prevalence of Suicide trends in Finnish Lapland self-reported psychiatric symptoms in central Lapland (19) and a higher-than-average alcohol consumption in the same area (20). Incidentally, fatal alcohol poisonings are also common in north-central Lapland (21) as are suicides in the present study.…”
