Aid application multicriteria the decision based on AHP Method and Fuzzy Logic in commercial land selection

Abstract: The objective of this article is to select land for commercial buildings in Rio de Janeiro city using multiple criteria decision-making techniques. The techniques used were based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Logic methods. These methods were chosen because of functionality, flexibility and great application in engineering problems for decision making involving multiple criteria. Its application was made through an opinion survey with expert builders, where 6 (six) factors for evaluation we… Show more

“…In decision-making scenarios consisting of conflicting objectives and criteria, it is possible to use well-known mathematical tools to assess the various parameters and find an optimal result, these are called multicriteria decision-making methods (Kumar et al, 2017;Briozo & Musetti, 2015). These methods have been successfully applied in different fields of knowledge, such as in cases of the selection of an emergency care unit location (Briozo & Musetti, 2015), selection of commercial land (Brandalise et al, 2019), in the selection and evaluation of suppliers (Ho et al, 2010), and also used for the selection of performance indicators (Infante et al, 2017;Kumar et al, 2017). Among the known methods can be mentioned the Analytic Hierarchy Process -AHP, the TOPSIS (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution), the multi-attribute utility theory method (MAUT), among others (Kumar et al, 2017;Wollmann et al, 2014).…”

“…Decision-making is a process that identifies a problem and seeks to solve it. Several advantages can be had from decision-making, since it's possible to analyze numerous variables present in a given problem that can facilitate a process overview, making the decision more objective and conscientious (Brandalise et al, 2019).…”

“…In using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Logic methods, both multiple decision-making criteria techniques, Brandalise et al (2019) were able to select land for commercial buildings in the city of Rio de Janeiro. They carried out an opinion survey with a market expert to select valuation factors and alternatives for commercial land to apply this method.…”
