Andriolo et al (2010) stated that there was no sufficient evidence to demonstrate that aerobic exercise improves cardiorespiratory fitness in individuals with DS. Conversely, Dodd & Shields (2005) had opposite findings, suggesting that aerobic exercise could increase several cardiorespiratory fitness outcomes (peak oxygen consumption, peak minute ventilation, time to exhaustion and maximal workload).…”
