Adultos com síndrome de Down por eles mesmos: relatos de suas vivências

Abstract: O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever características de adultos com síndrome de Down, focalizando rotina, preferências, amizades e relacionamentossociais. Doze adultos com idades entre 18 e 34 anos responderam a uma entrevista semiestruturada, tendo suas cuidadoras colaborado como informantes.Os resultados indicaram que os adultos possuem atividades restritas ao contexto do lar, tendo uma vivência limitada em outros ambientes sociais,tal como a instituição especial.
