Abstract:Initial rates of ion-exchange adsorption of nickelous or cupric ions with calcium ions on the surface of synthetic hydroxyapatite were studied in aqueous nitrate solutions. A kinetic interpretation has been proposed. The determination of the initial rates is important for a systematic investigation of adhesion of certain properly designed substances that may mediate a chemical bonding between dental resins and "mordanted" calcified tissues.
scite is a Brooklyn-based startup that helps researchers better discover and evaluate scientific articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by researchers from dozens of countries and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
