How ever, we also find that both groups showed highly significant extents of adaptation on this task, and the amount of difference between them, though approaching significance, was not nearly as great as that reported by Ebner et al (4). While the notion of proprioceptive deficits in schizophrenics is not refuted by our result, certainly some réévaluation of the magnitude of any such deficit is called for.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD.
