Abstract: The dimannoside (PIM 2 ) and hexamannoside (PIM 6 ) phosphatidyl-myo-inositol mannosides are the two most abundant classes of PIM found in Mycobacterium bovis bacillus Calmette Gué rin, Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv, and Mycobacterium smegmatis 607.
