Acyclovir topical therapy of cutaneous herpes simplex virus infection in guinea pigs

Abstract: The chemotherapeutic efficacy of acyclovir was evaluated by observing the potential of topical acyclovir to reduce the severity of herpes viral lesions and to control the multiplication of this virus in the experimentally induced primary cutaneous infection of guinea pigs. Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD.
