Abstract:We describe a case of a 50-year-old man with alcohol cirrhosis status post transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) who presented with dyspnea, refractory hepatic hydrothorax (HH), and no ascites who subsequently developed acute tension hydrothorax (TH).
