Abstract: This paper proposes an "active common-mode noise canceler" that is capable of eliminating the common-mode voltage produced by a voltage-source PWM inverter. It generates a compensating voltage which has the same amplitude as, but the opposite phase to, the common-mode voltage produced by the PWM inverter.
