“…For example, the maximum negative values at 298.15 K are (−1.097, −1.094, −0.900, −1.033, −1.154, and −1.073) cm 3 ·mol –1 for ethanol + DMCA, n -propanol + DMCA, iso -propanol + DMCA, n -butanol + DMCA, iso -butanol + DMCA, and tert -butanol + DMCA system, respectively. With the addition of DMCA to a large volume of alcohol, molecular complexes may be formed due to the −OH···NR 3 – hydrogen bonding interaction between the unlike molecules. , Besides, the large differences of molar volume and steric structure between the alcohol molecule and DMCA molecule may also easily result in the geometrical accommodation. Hence, all these are possibly responsible to the volume shrinkage, which contributes to the overall negative V m E values.…”

“…From Table S2 in the Supporting Information, it could be seen that apparent molar volume increases with the increasing of the molality of the ILs; also, it increases with increase of the temperature. As stated by Gheorghe et al (2016) and Dubey et al (2019), these values could suggest the presence of strong intermolecular forces between ILs and alcohol molecules. 32,33 Finally, apparent molar isentropic compressibility (κ ø ) is expressed by using eq 7…”

“…The results obtained are mostly essential for establishing the interactions among the components of binary mixtures. Recently, thermodynamic and partial molar functions of some amines have been studied by many researchers. Lampreia et al studied the volumetric and acoustic functions of pseudo binary mixtures of water + 1,3-propanediol + 3-butoxypropan-1-amine from T = 283.15 to 303.15 K. Dubey et al measured the densities and speeds of sound for the binary mixtures of di- n -butylamine and diisopropylamine with 2-butanol and 2-pentanol at different temperatures ranging from 293.15 to 308.15 K over an entire composition range and at atmospheric pressure. Also, Ranjbar et al made experimental and computational studies of binary mixtures of isobutanol + cyclohexylamine at various temperatures (293.15–313.15 K).…”

“…These mixtures also provide a broad assortment of solvents that can be used in CO 2 capture. An examination of results obtained reveals that the mixtures examined have a wide range of applications in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, surfactants, lubricant additives, fragrances, corrosion inhibitors, anti-cracking agents, emulsifiers for resins, and pheromones. These binary mixtures are used in manufacturing applications such as heat transfer, fluid flow, mass transfer, and chemical separation. On the basis of various applications of the components of liquid mixtures and the literature survey, the present systems were selected. This study reports the density (ρ) and speed of sound ( u ) of binary liquid mixtures of tributylamine + alkyl (C 1 –C 5 ) acetate at different compositions and at temperatures ranging from 293.15 to 313.15 K as data on the same systems are missing in the literature.…”
