“…Buccheri et al [20] report good to excellent responses in 6 (54%) of 11 patients with HIV-associated psoriasis and found complete clearance in 4 patients (36%) after 20 weeks of acitretin monotherapy.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…The objective quantification of the severity of various kinds of cutaneous disorders is important because it is a fundamental aspect of a proper clinical evaluation of cutaneous disorders. This type of quantitation is essential not only for the etiological study of cutaneous disorders but also for determining the most effective treatment modality (4,5).…”

“…The objective quantification of the severity of various kinds of cutaneous diseases is very important, because it is a fundamental aspect of the clinical evaluation of the disease. This type of quantification is required not only for the etiological study of cutaneous disorders but also for deciding upon the most effective treatment modality (3, 4).…”
