Abstract: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer and second leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States. Substantial effort has gone into understanding molecular mechanisms governing CRC progression with the goal of developing potent targeted therapies. Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) was one of the first molecular targeted therapies.
