Abstract 1706: Comparison of automated and manual RNA isolation from stabilized peripheral blood samples (PBL) for expression analysis of colorectal cancer patients
Abstract:Background and aims: PBL based molecular diagnostics requires automated sample processing and evaluation of the isolated RNA for RT-PCR analysis. Our aim was to compare the automated PBL RNA isolation on MagNA Pure 96 with conventional manual RNA isolation by the PAXgene Blood RNA kit and to determine the purity, recovery, RNA integrity (RIN) and sensitivity of downstream RT-PCR applications. Materials and Methods: PBL samples were taken from 25 CRC and 19 healthy normal patients into PAXgene Blood RNA Tubes (… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
