“…Its absolute bioavailability is >94% (40). The administration of reboxetine with a high fat meal does not affect the extent of reboxetine absorption, but C max is reduced by approximately 20% (97).…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…The absolute bioavailability of reboxetine is >94%; therefore it does not undergo gut wall metabolism 17 . The effects of ketoconazole on reboxetine observed in this study are thus the result of inhibition of hepatic CYP3A4.…”

“…Sertraline C max was lower, and t 1/2 was shorter, in young males compared with the other groups [24,25]. A significantly lower C max for men compared with women (mean age, 24 years) has also been reported for single-dose reboxetine [26]. No elderly groups were included in that study.…”

“…Higher steady state plasma concentrations of duloxetine were observed in women compared with men in a population pharmacokinetic analysis; no interaction with age was reported [27]. Sex differences in antidepressant pharmacokinetics are commonly attributed to differences between men and women in body weight or body composition [25,26,28], or to sex or hormone differences in antidepressant metabolism by cytochrome P450 isoenzymes [22,27]. Age-related changes were observed in several pharmacokinetic parameters, including significant changes in mean AUC, C max , and weight-normalized Cl/F.…”
