Peterson-Falzone et al (1981) found that the absence of ASL on vocal fold surfaces led to breathy voice in patients of ectodermal dysplasia, whereas it is well known that a smooth and sinusoidal GFD (such as in the absence of ASL in case 1) is correlated with increased breathiness in speech (Epstein 1999). Thus the present results indicate that increased ASL activity can decrease the breathiness in speech by directly decreasing GFD.…”

Cutaneous syndactyly of his toes may be coincidental, because it is quite common in the general population, although the abnormality has been reported in RHS [Summit and Hiatt, 1971;Stasiowska et al, 1981;Rodini et al, 1990].…”
