Abstract: A simple unified lubrication approach has been proposed to design a coat-hanger die that can deliver wide and uniform liquid sheets. This approach requires that the wall stress in the manifold be constant. With this constraint, any inelastic non-Newtonian fluid model can be used to describe the liquid motion inside the die.
