A Thermoacoustic Model for High Aspect Ratio Nanostructures

Abstract: Abstract:In this paper, we have developed a new thermoacoustic model for predicting the resonance frequency and quality factors of one-dimensional (1D) nanoresonators. Considering a nanoresonator as a fix-free Bernoulli-Euler cantilever, an analytical model has been developed to show the influence of material and geometrical properties of 1D nanoresonators on their mechanical response without any damping. Diameter and elastic modulus have a direct relationship and length has an inverse relationship on the stra… Show more

“…In this context, one novel approach gaining interest is the utilization of Ga (L) combined with noble metallic materials, such as silver, for the synthesis of 1D nanoalloys. The silver–gallium (Ag–Ga) binary system is a bimetallic conductor material known to be nontoxic, chemically stable, and corrosion-resistant that exhibits excellent optical, mechanical, and electrical properties for the development of versatile functionalities that can be engineered for advanced applications in microelectronics, sensors, plasmonics, and catalysis. The Ag–Ga system under room conditions initiates spontaneous alloying at contact through atomic interdiffusion mechanisms without requiring any energy input . The diffusion of the solid metal atoms through the LM channels results in the instantaneous nucleation and fast anisotropic development of self-assembled crystalline (1D) morphologies that continue to develop in the nano-/microranges until Ag or Ga supply is depleted. , …”
