Abstract: BECAUSE OF THE RESULTING SMALLER storage capacitance and lower supply voltage, increasing dynamic RAM cell density has forced the sense amplifier to detect extremely small signal charges. Also, the propagation delay of the poly-word line has made it necessary to choose between high-speed-performance at the expense of reliable readout of the cell signal or vice versa.
