A Roadmap with Strategic Policy toward Green Hydrogen Production: the Case of Iraq

Abstract: The most potential renewable energy source for global emissions reductions is green hydrogen production. Iraq is looking into several sources of alternative energy to lessen its dependency on fossil fuels and to considerably cut its carbon dioxide emissions. This research examined the conceptual framework for the production and consumption of green hydrogen in Iraq. On the basis of accessible official and public data from government agencies, the potential capabilities of renewable energy resources are assesse… Show more

“…Second, hydrogen can be burned in a hydrogen internal combustion engine (H 2 ICE), which directly provides mechanical power. Both technologies have advantages and disadvantages: The fuel cell is known to emit only water and reaches a high efficiency [6], but requires a high degree of hydrogen purity [7]. The H 2 ICE can burn hydrogen, even of low purity, but produces NO x emissions in the process.…”

“…Whereas the specifics of the discoveries are not detailed here, the work could offer profitable experiences into the challenges and openings associated with cross-border energy exchange. Hassan et al's study [5] gives a strategic guide for green hydrogen production in Iraq. Green hydrogen is taken up consideration as a clean vitality carrier, and this investigation may shed light on approach systems and mechanical pathways particular to the Iraqi setting.…”
