A review on ice detection technology and ice elimination technology for wind turbine

Abstract: Blade icing can affect wind turbines to generate electricity. In severe cases, 30% of power generation is lost in a year, and safety problems in the vicinity of wind power plants are also caused. Researchers have designed anti-icing and de-icing technologies to reduce these effects, and excellent ice-detecting devices are a prerequisite for using anti-icing and de-icing technologies. Ultrasonic attenuation technology can effectively and reliably detect the presence of ice without affecting the aerodynamic perf… Show more

“…With the increasing energy shortage [154][155][156][157][158], pollutant generation [159][160][161][162][163], and the rapid development of largescale integrated circuits, the application of radar has gradually changed from military to civilian [164,165]. It has been found that the development of radar [166][167][168][169][170] in the field of industrial products is unprecedented in our daily life, covering transportation, search and tracking, navigation, and so on.…”

“…Energy crisis [37][38][39][40] promotes the more stringent emission regulations enacted by governments around the world, which means that it is very urgent to develop new combustion [41][42][43] and emission reduction technology [44][45][46][47][48][49][50] for minimizing engine emissions [51][52][53][54]. In the paper, a mathematical model of gas-particle flow characteristics is established and employed to investigate the characteristics of gas-particle flow.…”

“…It is a very important research topic to improve combustion efficiency [38][39][40] and reduce pollutant emissions [41][42][43][44][45][46] by changing the shape and structure size of the burners. As for the swirl burner, the latter research should be based on the existing model research and carry out relevant simulation and experimental research.…”
