The Ilha Anchieta Quartz Monzonite (IAQM) occupies most of the homonymous island in the coast of the state of São Paulo, and is intrusive into foliated rocks of the ∼565 Ma Ubatuba Charnockite. The main petrographic variety is a porphyritic biotite-hornblende quartz monzonite with 2-4 cm tabular microcline megacrysts set in a medium-grained groundmass and magmatic foliation. Outcrop-scale structures indicate cumulative processes (modal and grain-size magmatic banding) and interaction with basic magmas (mafic microgranular enclaves). Lithogeochemical data indicates that the main variety is intermediate to acid (SiO 2 = 63-67%), alkali-calcic, metaluminous and magnesian (mg# ∼30), showing moderate Sr (300-400 ppm) and Ba (∼1500 ppm) contents and relatively high HFSE (Nb = 40 ppm; Zr = 550-700 ppm). The older charnockites are more silicic (SiO 2 = 71-78%), ferroan (mg# = 12-16), and have very low Sr (13-80 ppm) contents, resulting in Ba/Sr ratios remarkably higher than the IAQM (10 versus 4). LA-MC-ICPMS U-Pb zircon dating of the IAQM yielded 499.7 ± 5.9 Ma. This is the youngest magmatic age identified so far in the crystalline basement of the state of São Paulo, and indicates that the pluton is the southernmost expression of the post-collisional "G5" magmatism in the Ribeira Belt.

Resumo: O Complexo Intrusivo Santa Angélica faz parte de um dos mais importantes plútons de magmatismo bimodal da Suíte G5, gerada no estágio pós-colisional (530 -490 Ma) da Orogênese Brasiliana, esta que deu origem ao Orógeno Araçuaí-Ribeira. Este corpo intrusivo é representado por litotipos félsicos e máficos, sendo estes separados por uma extensa zona de mistura de magmas onde ocorrem rochas híbridas. O estudo petrográfico microscópico de rochas máficas e híbridas com xenocristais de K-feldspato indicou bordas de reação nestes grãos constituídas exclusivamente por mirmequita. A fim de compreender quais reações xenocristal-líquido desencadearam a formação destas bordas mirmequíticas, foram realizadas análises em microssonda que, posteriormente foram interpretadas juntamente ao estudo petrográfico microscópio. Os resultados indicaram que as porções máficas e híbridas ainda estavam em estado líquido quando houve a migração dos xenocristais que, ao reagirem com o material magmático, desencadearam uma reação envolvendo íons de Ca e Na resultando na formação de uma borda constituída por mirmequita.Palavras-chave: Santa Angélica, mirmequita, xenocristal. Abstract: THE ORIGIN OF MIRMEKITIC BORDERS IN K-FELDSPAR XENOCRYSTALS FROM MAFIC AND HYBRID ROCKS OF SANTA ANGÉLICA MASSIVE -ES -The Santa Angelica IntrusiveComplex is part of the more importants plutons of the G5 Suite of bimodal magmatism, intrudet in the post-collisional (530 -490 Ma) of the Brasiliano orogeny that made the Orogen Araçuaí-Ribeira. This pluton is represented by felsic and mafic rocks, which are separated by an extensive zone of magma mixing and mingling with the occurrence of hybrid rocks. The petrographic study of the hybrid and mafic rocks with K-feldspar xenocrysts indicates their edges reaction consist exclusively of mirmekite. In order to understand how xenocristal-liquid reactions triggered the formation of these edges, microprobe analyzes were performed, These data and microscopic results were interpreted together. The results indicated that when the xenocrysts migrated to the mafic and hybrids rocks they were still in the liquid state, resulting in the reaction between the xenocrysts and the Ca and Na ions of the magma that formatted the myrmekite edge.

As rochas félsicas compreendem dois litotipos: monzogranito e sienogranito. Os monzogranitos apresentam características típicas da série cálcio-alcalino e os sienogranitos, de assinaturas alcalinas pós-colisionais, enquanto que as rochas metamáficas intrudidas nos mármores incluem basaltos e basaltos andesíticos cálcio-alcalinos e do tipo MORB-E. As rochas metamáficas e félsicas são remanescentes de três estágios magmáticos na história do Grupo Paraíba do Sul: a abertura da Bacia do Paraíba do Sul (MORB-E); a colisão durante a formação do Gondwana, representado pelo magmatismo básico cálcio-alcalino sin-Brasiliano e o final da orogênese brasiliana, registrada pelo magmatismo félsico, passando de cálcio-alcalino/cálcio-alcalino-K a alcalino, durante a fase de colapso do orógeno.Palavras-chave: magmatismo félsico e básico; mármores; Complexo Paraíba do Sul; geoquímica. Abstract Geological and geochemical characterization of mafic and felsic rocks intrusions in marbles from South of Espírito Santo State, Brazil.A great amount of metamafic and felsic rocks occurs as concordant or as concordant tabular concordant or discordant intrusions into marbles of Paraíba do Sul Group, in the South area of Espírito Santo State. Felsic rocks comprise two litotypes: monzogranite and syenogranite. The monzogranites have calc-alkaline signatures and the syenogranites present postcollision alkaline signatures, whereas the metamafic rocks included MORB-E and calc-alkaline basalts to basaltic andesites. Metamafic and felsic rocks are the remnants of three magmatic stages in Paraíba do Sul Group history: opening of Paraíba do Sul Basin (MORB-E); collision during Gondwana assembly, recorded by calc-alkaline basic magmatism; and the Brazilian (Pan-African) Orogeny closing, recorded by transition from high-K calc-alkaline/calc-alkaline to alkaline felsic magmatism during the orogen collapse.
