Abstract: In this study, a critical review of thermodynamic optimum of microchannels based on entropy generation analysis is presented. Using entropy generation analysis as evaluation parameter of microchannels has been reported by many studies in the literature. In these studies, different working fluids such as nanofluids, air, water, engine oil, aniline, ethylene glycol, and non-Newtonian fluids have been used. For the case of nanofluids, ''nanoparticles'' has been used in various kinds such as Al 2 O 3 and Cu, and '… Show more

“…The studies in the micro-channel with slip flow and temperature jumps have been carried out by most of the researches [22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29], and they carried out useful findings. Hooman [30] performed entropy analysis under various boundary conditions through duct geometry and used a numerical technique.…”

“…In the last few decades, various noncircular ducts have been used for enhancing the heat transfer characteristics and performance of compact heat exchangers. In enormous applications, such as heat exchangers, solar collectors, and several heat transfer applications, triangular ducts have been used due to their lower pressure drop across the entire length and lower maintenance …”

“…In enormous applications, such as heat exchangers, solar collectors, and several heat transfer applications, triangular ducts have been used due to their lower pressure drop across the entire length and lower maintenance. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7] Ahmed et al 8 carried out numerical and experimental investigations on triangular ducts using Al 2 O 3 and SiO 2 nanofluids and a turbulator in a laminar flow regime. It was concluded that the effect of turbulators and nanoparticles (NPs) in the fluid increased the performance index as the pressure drop increased.…”
