“…To our knowledge, this is the first time, the effect of integrated yoga therapy on arterial stiffness measured at the radial artery has been assessed. We have identified IAYT as an intervention for our study as previous studies with IAYT had shown significant improvements in the overall health of the patients [7,8] . The pilot study reported initial evidence of reduced arterial stiffness along with reduced BMI in young adults with obesity after 1 week of IAYT intervention.…”

The IAYT program includes therapies based on yoga, Ayurveda and naturopathy.…”

“…Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a debilitating and preventable chronic lung disease characterized by alveolar destruction, lung inflammation and airflow limitation (1). Patients with acute exacerbation of COPD (AECOPD) have a high incidence of developing anxiety and fatigue (2). It was hypothesized that anxiety and fatigue may be risk factors for developing AECOPD and lower the effectiveness of the present therapeutic approach.…”
