However, this was avoided in our case by performing an off-label thrombectomy using the FlowTriever Retrieval/Aspiration System, which is a singleuse mechanical thrombectomy device approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (U.S FDA) for use in the pulmonary arteries (13) .
