A primer for behavioral research
Abstract: The author presents a number of basic research principles for those interested in performing behavioral experiments with animals. The stimulus for this article was the expanding research in molecular biology that has produced animals (usually mice) with potentially important behavioral anomalies. Behavioral measurement, methodology, developmental research, statistical analyses, and collaborative research are discussed. © 1997 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
