“…In a study of patients with severe asthma in which comparisons were made of the effects of administration of inhaled corticosteroids and oral steroids, it was found that hoarseness was the most frequently occurring side effect (52 %), with a general onset of 2 weeks after use of inhaled cortison. 13 Other studies reported that dysphonia was related to the dose and potency of inhaled steroids 8 and that the reason for high frequency of dysphonia may be caused by the relatively high dosages of Beclomethasone. 7 Very low prevalence of dysphonia was reported in a study designed to investigate the clinical use of spacer systems for corticosteroid inhalation therapy.…”
