Abstract: Studies have been carried out aimed at recognizingˇ-cyclodextrin (ˇ-CD) as including sulfur compounds by competitive inclusion using phenolphthalein as a spectral probe. 1-Propanethiol was chosen as a model sulfur compound and the obtained results indicated thatˇ-CD could include 1-propanethiol and remove it from light oil.
