A note on poleward undercurrent along the southwest coast of India

Oceanic upwelling and downwelling processes in waters off the west coast of India

This feature is consistent with the geostrophic currents (Muraleedharan et al 1995). In order to understand the mechanism for the tilt of the eddy towards the open ocean during summer monsoon, an experiment was carried out by prescribing a uniform salinity and temperature in the entire domain.…”
