In late December 2019, the first cases of viral pneumonia caused by an unidentified pathogen were reported in China. Two years later, SARS-CoV-2 was responsible for almost 450 million cases, claiming more than 6 million lives. The COVID-19 pandemic strained the limits of healthcare systems all across the world. Identifying viral RNA through real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction remains the gold standard in diagnosing SARS-CoV-2 infection. However, equipment cost, availability, and the need for trained personnel limited testing capacity. Through an unprecedented research effort, new diagnostic techniques such as rapid diagnostic testing, isothermal amplification techniques, and next-generation sequencing were developed, enabling accurate and accessible diagnosis. Influenza viruses are responsible for seasonal outbreaks infecting up to a quarter of the human population worldwide. Influenza and SARS-CoV-2 present with flu-like symptoms, making the differential diagnosis challenging solely on clinical presentation. Healthcare systems are likely to be faced with overlapping SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza outbreaks. This review aims to present the similarities and differences of both infections while focusing on the diagnosis. We discuss the clinical presentation of Influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and techniques available for diagnosis. Furthermore, we summarize available data regarding the multiplex diagnostic assay of both viral infections.

Background: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus disease 19 is attracting worldwide attention and has been declared an infectious disease by the World Health Organization (WHO), and accordingly, interest and meaning in health and well-being are expanding in recent years. Aims: This paper attempted to investigate the recognition and development potential of customized cosmetics focusing on inner beauty products through DTC (Direct to Customer) genetic testing in the era of COVID-19 pandemic. Patients/Methods: The number of women included in the survey of consumers living in Seoul metropolitan city ranged from 40 to 60, and 380 women in Republic of Korea. Statistical processing of the data collected by the data analysis method is analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) WIN25.0 statistical package program through the process of data coding and data cleansing.Results: In this study, the DTC genetic test, single, and/or combination treatment for customized inner beauty products and customized cosmetics were compared and analyzed, respectively. Accordingly, in keeping with the rapidly changing market conditions, we sought to study customized inner beauty and customized cosmetics recognition and purchasing behavior through DTC genetic testing in the unexplored era after COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, it was significantly more effective to use customized inner beauty and customized cosmetics after DTC genetic test (p < 0.001). Conclusion:This study emphasizes that after the global COVID-19 pandemic worldwide that occurred after January 2020, the definition of health persistence, wellness, and well-dying associated with beauty and cosmetology is also evolving from the DTC genetic test. In our results, it was found for the first time that the intake of customized inner beauty preparations and the use of customized cosmetics would be more effective. In the above significant research results, it is believed that research on the combinational effect of customized inner beauty products and customized cosmetics is required in the global DTC genetic testing market.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)'nin sebep olduğu Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic Aralık 2019'da Çinin Wuhan kentinde ilk defa bildirilmiş ve daha sonra tüm Dünyaya yayılmıştır. Salgın 11 Mart 2020'de pandemi olarak bildirilmiştir.Hastalık infekte kişilerden veya asemtomatik taşıyıcılardan respiratuar damlacıklar yoluyla bulaşır. Hastalığın en iyi bilinen klinik semptomları ve laboratuar bulguları ateş, normal veya azalmış lökosit miktarları, kuru öksürük, pnömoni, diyare ve dispnedir, ancak esas ölüm sebebi sitokin fırtınasınca tetiklenen akut respiratuar distress sendromudur. COVID-19 hastalarında tipik BT bulguları akciğerlerin periferlerinde yerleşik ve multifokal bilateral yama tarzında buzlu camlar ve konsolidasyonlardır. SARS-CoV-2 RNA tespiti için RT-PCR testi COVID-19 tanısında yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır.Efektif bir tedavinin olmaması vaka sayılarında yükseliş ile birlikte hastane yatış oranlarında artış ve palyatif tedavilerin kullanılmasına yol açmıştır.Bu derlemede COVID-19'u önleme metotları, tanı ve tedavi algoritmaları, klinik ve laboratuar bulguları ve patogenezi kısaca özetlenmiştir.
