Abstract: Lyman et 'al.' showed that adsorption of protein (mostly albiimin) on a hydrophobic uncharged polymeric surface notably reduced platelet adhesion. The resulting coated surfaces were only slightly thrombogenic. Such adsorbed coatings are not easily obtainable. Their production cannot be standardized, and their stability is qiiestionable.
