“…In this way, GIS are being used for a long time to provide decision support information (Lukasheh, Droste, & Warith, 2001; Yianna & Poulicos, 2003; Bahaire & Eliott-White, 2010; Belo, Silva, Brito, & Menezes, 2015), and to solve several problems through geodata design and analysis, as is the case of the tourism pressure in the environment and the management of geographical information to strengthening tourism territories (Magige, Jepkosgei, & Onywere, 2020; Gavilanes Montoya et al, 2021).…”

“…Those engaging in such activities are denoted as tourists (UNWTO, 2021). This robustly positions tourism as one of the planet's largest and swiftest burgeoning industries (Smith, 1993;De Freitas, 2003;Hamilton & Tol, 2004;Scott & Lemieux, 2010;Nagy & Piscoti, 2016;Hu et al, 2021;Gavilanes et al, 2021;Prameshwori et al, 2021). In actuality, tourism, a pervasive pursuit that attracts over 1.18 billion international tourists annually, serves as a pivotal economic sector, generating more than 284 million employments and yielding an excess of 7.2 trillion US dollars yearly (Lim et al, 2019).…”
