Abstract: THE SUCCESSFUL DEVELOPMENT of cylindrical resonant cavity IMPATT diode power combiners has led to their inclusion in several DoD prototype applications circuits such as the model to be described. In the resonant cavity combining technique each diode whose power is to be combined is located at the end of individual coaxial transmission lines whose center conductors pass through a cylindrical cavity common to all coaxial lines (modules), thereby ensuring that the diodes oscillate in phase.
