Dietary patterns are thought to in¯uence peak bone mass; particularly high intakes of calcium have been suggested to increase peak bone mass (Cummings et al, 1985;Welten et al, 1995). Consequently, the identi®cation of teenagers who are likely to maintain a low calcium intake in adulthood could be valuable in the development of preventive strategies against osteoporosis.…”
