Lawson and Hughes have designed a kinetic model for extraction of nitric acid by TBP and have found that the extraction is controlled by a combination of diffusion and chemical kinetic processes. Baldwin and Higgins have extracted TBP using various diluents and determined the distribution coefficient of TBP in solvents having lower miscibility.…”
