A high-performance multilevel inverter with reduced power electronic devices

Abstract: This paper introduces a new topology of multilevel inverter, which is able to operate at high performance. This proposed circuit achieves requirements of reduced number of switches, gate-drive circuits, and high design flexibility. In most cases fifteen-level inverters need at least twelve switches. The proposed topology has only ten switches. The inverter has a quasi-sine output voltage, which is formed by level generator and polarity changer to produce the desired voltage and current waveforms. The detailed … Show more

“…The suggested circuit provided good response and quality. In the same year [16], a 15-level inverter with ten-switches and zero-level state was built and modelled. The voltage value was 312V.…”

“…The system gave good response and quality. Also, in 2020 [23], 10 power switches with three DC sources were used to produce a 15-level output voltage at constant duty cycle and frequency. In 2021 Subki et al [24], level shifted multicarrier PWM based on phase disposition and opposition disposition with alternate phase opposition disposition techniques was compared with the phase shifted PWM technique to produce 11-level output voltage.…”
