A Fuzzy Logic-Based Trust Model in Grid

Abstract: Trust is a fundamental concern in Grid environment. In this paper, we focus on the behavior trust that varies with time. Because of the fuzzy nature of trust, it is more appropriate to adopt fuzzy logic to express and compute trust than adopt probabilities approach. A new behavior trust model based on fuzzy-logic in Grid environment is proposed. By variable weighted fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, Direct Trust can be gotten; by derivation and combination of trust, Reputation can be obtained. Expert's experienc… Show more

“…Chakraborty et al [19] applied the parameters extracted using the SLA to measure the reliability of cloud services. Some of the most commonly used SLA-based models are probability-based trust model, intuitive reasoning-based trust model [20], Bayesian-based trust model, Dempster-Shafer model, Fuzzy logic-based trust [21], cloud computing trust model [22], and so on. Siadat et al [23] proposed a new model for managing trust in cloud computing that uses game theory to detect fake feedback [24].…”

“…Trust in the fuzzy logic based models [11,12,19,18,20] is modelled as a subjective belief of the relying party about the trusted entity and expresses to what extent the relying party is willing to depend on that entity. Fuzzy logic models use linguistic terms rather than exactly calculated trust values to state how much believe an entity has in the collaborating entity.…”

“…In 2008 a way was found to model the trust which was played an important role in the progress of the discussion based on using private edges and multi domains [8] and eventually led to a design based on publish/subscribe [11] and expanded the concept of trust and reliability in the virtual environment of grid computing. Also in 2009 considering the proximity of concepts of trust and probability with Fuzzy an approach based on fuzzy logic was occupied by Chinese researchers [4] which was punishing the destroyer entity and removing it from the system at last and was estimating the reliability of the entities and using virtual machines to provide its services [3].…”
