A electronic voting protocol based on blockchain and homomorphic signcryption

Abstract: Compared with traditional voting methods, electronic voting can effectively avoid the phenomenon of fraud for personal gains in various links, it is faster and more accurate in the tallying stage. However, many electronic voting systems have many problems such as inability to verify ballots, easy to be forged, and low computing efficiency. We propose an electronic voting protocol based on homomorphic signcryption and blockchain. The protocol makes the voting process public through blockchain and replaces the tr… Show more

“…Although recognizing the impending for imitation safety and strength in e-voting, it describes concerns like ballot validation, exposure to imitation, and least minimum calculation proficiency evaluation power in several current systems. To find out these challenges, this research work develops a homomorphic signcryption strategy for e-voting using blockchain technology [59].…”

“…Achievements: The block chain's decentralized approach discussed in this paper is considered to be safe and secure. Qu et al [20] proposed a technology for electronic voting in their paper which focuses on security and privacy issues by combining BC and homomorphic signcryption. Techniques used: Homomorphic signcryption technique in Hyperledger blockchain type is used to secure the voting ballots.…”

“…Homomorphic encryption (Qu et al, 2020) can also be used to address the patient data privacy issue in a blockchain, where one can utilize, homomorphic encryption to store data over a blockchain with no significant changes in the properties of the blockchain. It also offers privacy protection and enables some form of computation over encrypted data without revealing the actual data.…”
